About R.J.

As a longtime jazz fan, I’ve always hoped to see this most wonderful, intelligent yet soulful, art form exposed to a broader segment of the human population. Thankfully, over the last dozen years or so, I have been able to bring the stories of many of the music makers in this genre to light, publishing articles in newspapers, magazines and websites. My thanks, both for their cooperation and their music, is endless. I’m a journalism school graduate, a veteran of the business in many forms, and a member of the Jazz Journalists Association, as well as a frequent contributor of jazz articles to the Albany (NY) Times Union, and for about a decade, the multiple award-winning All About Jazz website.
